Daniel Silvestre da Silva's Biography
Daniel Silvestre’s intricated illustrations match his sense of project and his commitment with the text. For this reason, he enjoys trying out different things and often works between material and digital techniques.
Daniel Silvestre was born in Lisbon, in 1979. He graduated in Fine Arts, studied further, and has been teaching Drawing and Illustration across the north of Portugal. His work has been published mostly in Portugal and ended up in a couple of foreign bookstores as well. He has illustrated texts of many acclaimed Portuguese and Brazilian authors such as Alice Vieira, José Luís Peixoto, Machado de Assis, Raúl Brandão, Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen, Ana Saldanha, among many others.
