Vitor Hugo's Biography
Vitor Hugo was born in Espinho (Portugal), in 1972. He is an Illustrator and 2D Animator/Director. Sound and music always seem to have a key presence in his work. Vitor studied Graphics in Escola Artística e Profissional Árvore and Drawing in the Oporto Fine Arts School. He worked for 3 years in Cine-Clube of Avanca Studios making animation for nearly 15 episodes of the TV series Estórias a Passo de Cágado by Artur Correia and drawing backgrounds for Until the Top of the World by António Costa Valente, Carlos Silva and Vitor Lopes. In 2006 he participated in Beja Comix Festival Exibition with Black Box Stories, a project by José Carlos Fernandes in collaboration with a few Portuguese artists like Miguel Rocha, Susana Monteiro, Luis Henriques and others. In 2009 he directed and animated Olivetreedance´s videoclip theme Airport Tunnel. In 2011 and in 2012 he has been animating Any Other Man by Luis Soares, The Four Paths Singing by Nuno Amorim and Carrotrope by Paulo D´Alva.
